If I use Evisa, do I have to pay any additional costs when arriving at the Vietnam airport?

No, if you use Evisa to enter Vietnam, you will not have to pay any additional costs related to the entry procedures at the Vietnam airport upon arrival

What types of Vietnam Evisa are there?

In terms of entry purposes, there are many types of Evisa such as: Tourism, business, visiting relatives, working, studying...

However, we often classify them according to the entry value (Single or multiple entries). Both types of visas are valid for a maximum of 90 days

  • Single entry visa: During the validity of the Visa, you are allowed to enter the country only once, the Evisa will expire immediately after you leave the country or until the expiration date specified on the Evisa
  • Multiple entry visa: During the validity of the Visa, you will be allowed to enter/exit the country multiple times. The visa will only expire on the expiry date specified on the Evisa

Do I have to enter the country on the day the Evisa starts to be valid and leave the country on the day the Evisa expires?

You can enter the country on the day the Evisa starts to be valid, or after that date

You can leave the country any day before the Evisa expires, and no later than the day the Evisa expires

For example: Your Evisa is valid from 15 August 2024 to 15 September 2024

You are allowed to enter on 15 August, or later. And you need to leave the country no later than 15 September (the date the Evisa expires)

The information on my Evisa is not correct compared to the passport, can I use that Evisa to enter Vietnam?

No, any mistake, no matter how small, will make your Evisa invalid, in this case you need to register for a new Evisa as soon as you discover the mistake on your Evisa

We always advise our customers to check the information carefully immediately after receiving the Evisa to detect errors promptly

Do I need a visa to go to Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam)?

All citizens of countries around the world are exempted from visas for up to 30 days when visiting Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam), however, there are some conditions as follows

- You are only allowed to stay within Phu Quoc Island for less than 30 days

- If you have a transit flight within Vietnam before arriving in Phu Quoc Island, make sure both flights are provided by the same airline to be supported to transit within Vietnam without a transit visa

Similarly, when you depart from Phu Quoc Island and need to transit within Vietnam before returning home, make sure both flights are also provided by a single airline

Can I apply for a visa at the airport in Vietnam upon arrival?

No, all airlines will require you to present an Evisa or visa approval letter before allowing you to board your flight to Vietnam, so you will not be able to apply for a Vietnam visa upon arrival.

Many customers are confused about the possibility of applying for a Vietnam visa upon arrival without any conditions, which is incorrect.

Currently, Vietnam still accepts Visa On Arrival, however, you will need to apply for a document called a visa approval letter through travel agents in Vietnam. Only customers with an Evisa or visa approval letter will be allowed to board flights to Vietnam by airlines, and only customers with a visa approval letter will be allowed to have their visa stamped on their passports upon arrival at the airport/border gate in Vietnam.

Can I change the port/airport of entry compared to the information registered on the Evisa application?

Normally, you will need to enter the correct port/airport that you registered in the Evisa application. However, the Vietnamese government has now created conditions for visitors to be allowed to change the port of entry after the Evisa has been approval
